25 Integrated Water Management Strategies for Local Government

E2Designlab have successfully delivered IWM Strategy for more than 25 Councils over the last decade.
Each Strategy delivered was tailored to meet specific council needs depending on land use and planned development, characteristics of receiving waterways (including groundwater, streams, wetlands and bays and ocean outfalls), community interest and each Council’s capacity to deliver and manage on-ground practices.
Recently, several councils have re-engaged our team to support a refresh of their IWM Strategy. This includes reporting on their successes to date and the realigning of council IWM targets to those most relevant to council led activities, articulated in the Catchment Scale IWM Plans endorsed by the IWM forums. Our team engages with council departments to continue to foster internal relationships across WSUD/IWM champions, focusing on the vision, strategic outcomes and targets, leading co-development of each council’s action plan. Each action plan provides a roadmap that is linked to outcomes, costs and benefits.
