Wetland Design Training

Water Sensitive South Australia

A series of wetland design training sessions was designed and delivered for Water Sensitive South Australia by E2Designlab. The training focussed on teaching participants how to design successful constructed stormwater wetlands that meet multiple design objectives, including:

  • Stormwater runoff pollution reduction
  • Long-term function
  • Ease of maintenance
  • Effective integration with public spaces and other infrastructure
  • High-amenity value.

The training was designed for a broad audience, including design engineers and landscape architects working in local government or consulting. Stepping through concept to detailed design procedures, the sessions also included workshop sessions on case studies where participants got to put their skills into action.

Water Sensitive City Outcomes:

  • integrated urban design and planning
  • practical guidance
  • capacity building
