Integrated Green - Blue Infrastructure Initiatives

Ballarat Green-Blue Infrastructure Action Plan

City of Ballarat

E2Designlab developed an action plan for planning and design of green infrastructure for Ballarat, demonstrating how trees and vegetation can be integrated with water management aims, creating healthy landscapes to support liveable communities. Specifications for design at all scales, from street to precinct, were provided, demonstrating the multiple benefits that can be achieved through integrated design. A comprehensive engagement programme informed the development of the action plan, including workshops and one-on-one interviews with key council departments and partner groups.  These guidelines are now being expanded for application across the State of Victoria.
